Closed complexes are a relatively new trend in residential construction in Sofia, which has been gaining quite the popularity in recent years. Located in or around the capital, they resemble mini-cities in the city, offering security and conveniences within a walkable distance which are oftentimes lacking or insufficient outside the borders - such as green spaces, kindergartens and playgrounds.
