A new school year is just round the corner. Eagerly anticipated by parents and children alike, the upcoming school year is going to be very different from what we’re all used to. It brings excitement, impatience, a little bit of fear, but also relief. Regardless of whether the children return to the classrooms physically or virtually, it is time to get back into the routine and prepare for our daily responsibilities.
So be sure to spend the last weekend of the summer holidays with your children. Here are a few ideas on how to make the most of the weekend before the start of the new school year.
A Hike in the mountains
If during the summer you focused mainly on adventures at the seaside, do not forget to check out the mountains as well. In fact, a walk in the mountains is great fun for summer days, which combines the useful with the pleasant. While walking along the shady mountain trails, in addition to hiding from the hot September sun, you will have the opportunity to get to know nature together.
Use every opportunity to teach kids to respect, love and protect the nature that surrounds us. This will strengthen not only the connection between you and them, but also your connection with the surrounding world!
A Walk in the Park
If the mountains are a bit too far away, then a walk in the nearby park is a great alternative. Enjoy some time at the playground, ride a bike or just take a walk and eat ice cream in the park. The kids will be happy and you will be satisfied.
As a matter of fact, the more time you spend in nature, the better. WHO experts advise us to spend as much time outdoors as possible, because it has a beneficial effect on both our emotional and physical wellbeing.
That is why the main focus in River Park’s planning are the open areas, green spaces and places for recreation and entertainment, where children can enjoy a carefree and unforgettable childhood in nature. The idea behind the project is to provide the ideal living environment for the whole family and a place for their precious moments.
Over 80% of the area of the whole project has been designed as green areas, and residents will have paths for walks along a picturesque river, playgrounds, sports facilities and several places for recreation. Thus, the connection with nature will be even easier and no special organization will be needed in order to take a walk in nature.
Last-minute shopping
If after all those hikes in the mountains and adventures at the seaside you did not have time to prepare for the start of the school year, use the weekend to turn preparation into a fun and entertaining activity for both you and the children.
Getting textbooks and school supplies does not have to necessarily be a tedious task. Choose playful notebooks or colored paper for binding and set up a creative workshop. We guarantee you will have loads of fun!
And don't forget about the backpack! If it’s time to change the worn-out one you had last year, be sure to take the youngsters with you when choosing a new one. It will after all be their daily companion and you need to be sure that it will be comfortable and they will like it, so that they enjoy wearing it every day.
